Glowing Forest
Thoughts: This layered and interesting piece started as a palette, but the layers of color were so interesting when scraped down to a flat surface, that Leslie felt the colors and texture were reminiscent of tree bark. Taping over the background, then doing the rest of the piece with expressive brushwork and intricate outlines, Leslie created a forest with light streaming through.
